Your Dream Journey
Dreaming is a journey, an ancient practice that needs to be in our daily lives. Let me first define dreaming: allowing your heart to open to receive all the good around you--all the abundance (think time, energy, money, patience) awaiting you. When you dream, you create new possibilities for yourself and your family. You also recharge yourself and remember who you are--what is important. Now, how do you dream and what kind of dreams am I talking about? Let me share a few thoughts on Nightly Dreams, Daily Dreams and Life Dreams.
Nightly Dreams
As a child I would awaken from my nightly sleep remembering each detail of my dreams. This kept the gateway of all the magic, wonder, and possibility open for me to create, play and receive. Now, no one could help me interpret my dreams. This magic is what led me to become what I call a dream guide or dream interpreter. I've been teaching others how to interpret their dreams for over 25 years. Interpret you might ask? Yes! Every dream you have is a source of information to help you heal, move forward, problem solve, understand and make new opportunities. Each dream hold a message from what I call The Divine. You may call this whatever you like: God, Goddess, Love and Light, The Great Spirit, or something else entirely. Your nightly dream are important. They are important for you to understand so they may help you grow, heal, expand and in doing so, help your family. If you understand your dreams, you can help your child understand theirs (another topic I will discuss soon). Take time to learn how to interpret and understand your dream messages. Daily Dreams
Dreaming isn't just at night however. Day Dreaming is just as important too. I call this Awake Dreaming. It's where you allow yourself to relax and tune in. Tune into what? The wonder, magic, possibility--and love all around you. This is tuning into the Divine. This is how you consciously Dream Awake:
1. Find a quite comfortable place to sit.
2. Find a focal point to stare upon (this is the one time staring is kind ;)).
3. Relax your gaze.
4. Now, allow your mind to wander. You can think of something to begin, but when your mind begins to shift focus, allow it to flow. Follow that flow.
You can awake dream as little as 5 minutes a day or as long as you like. Sometimes 30 minutes can whisk by like 5! Take note of all the wonderful information that arrives when you begin this daily practice. Many playwrights, doctors, artist's and creators (us mamas) use this to gain inspiration and problem solve. Go on, give it a try!
Life Dreams
Dreaming can also consist of writing down your goals and the wonderful adventures you want to try, test and take. Dreams of the life you want to create. Here is a little practice to invite those life dreams into your life journey:
1. Write a letter to yourself, the Universe, The Divine, stating the dreams you hold in your heart. Describe how you see your life in these dreams/visions. Conclude or write somewhere in your letter your gratitude and thanks for these wonderful goals and dreams coming to fruition.
This letter basically gives yourself permission to allow your dreams to take form and manifest in your life. It invites The Divine to bring them into your life!
